BLESSINGS FOR WHOM?
Early morning time as it is with the birds chirping, the street dogs lazily getting up for a long next day of their lives, people enjoying their morning walks, shops slowly opening up, and I also on my routine of exercise happen to witness a scene which raised many questions in my mind. In one of the Indian religions, there is a custom of becoming a monk, wherein the believer decides to renounce all the worldly pleasures and live rest of the life in service to God. They believe in minimalism. They believe in nonviolence to the extent that they will not wear footwear in the feet with the fear of harming little insects and creatures though unknowingly. A custom that will require patience, determination and infinite self control. They usually carry many of their belongings along when they travel from one place to another including a wheelchair that may be required depending on their health conditions.
