TWO-MINUTES NOODLES

Today's world has changed a lot.  If we compare it with the life many of us lived in our childhood or ask our parents or grandparents, they would have stories to tell that do not match anywhere with our living style today.  Apart from many other things, one major change that I have noticed is the lack of PATIENCE.  We have become like the Two-Minutes Noodles.  Everything has to be cooked up in 2 minutes and has to be tasty and presentable.  But does it really work that way?  Are human beings designed to function in the way we are now?  Some questions really need answers.

First of all, Life is not 2 minutes noodles.  We have evolved from the kheers and biryanis to the fast food world.  I give the examples of kheers and biryanis because they are few of the many dishes that take hours to get ready but when ready are incomparable.  Now we do not have the patience to wait for hours.  We would rather have a ready-to eat roll, noodles, or the best way would be to order it.

I have no opinion that we should work hours to have a delicious meal and in the first place this is not about food at all.  It is about the quality of patience that Man is expected to have and must have.  We are not able to accept failures, we are not able to wait for the next opportunity, we are not ready to listen to a complete conversation, we are not ready for many things most of the time and the reason is the lack of one valuable quality of patience.

If our parents lacked patience, we would have not learned many things we know today. If our teachers lacked patience, we would not have learned to read and write.  If our friends lack patience, we would not have been able to share so many things with them.  The list can go on.

Patience is a very important quality.  It is a virtue.  We have to learn to wait.  We have to learn to be more patient with people and ourselves.  Try and you will see the change.

Let's just remember life is not 2-minutes noodles. It is like our kheer or biryani. Cook it up on slow flame, with all spices of life. With great care and tender love handle your life and finally give it the exhilarating aroma with the butter of Patience.  See what you get out of it.  I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Regards
