A PLACE SO BEAUTIFUL...
Though the introduction is such that it guides the brilliant minds to all the beautiful places in this world, the reference here is to the self-effacing bangle shop. Though it is called humbly the bangle shop or the 'kangan store' meaning the same, the latter its synonym in Hindi language, it does not cap itself to bangles alone. The store is brimming with bangles, of course, bindis, necklaces, earrings, rings, anklets, armlets, bracelets, pendants, nose rings, hair bands, ribbons, clips, clutches, and uncountable accessories.
The store will not be limited to the list above and is an example of constant learning and keeps updating itself. Every time you go, you will be happily introduced to some new items. These items find their place in the shop as and when people have demanded for them. Learning from experience and regret of losing a customer who asked for something that the shopkeeper missed to stock, be assured you will find it next time. Many a times, the shopkeeper himself will assure you.
This is a happening place. So much buzz. So much of positive energy. Unusually happy folk all lost amidst colour and beauty - beauty of things around them.
The shopkeeper is too a talented one. Two virtues I found in this being was - one the patience to deal with so many demands and demands that keep changing and second is his ability of convincing that how good his wares are going to suit the lady. You ask for pink bangles and this gentleman has the caliber to convince you red colour would be more beautiful (it is another fact that he might be just out of stock of a particular colour, design or size). The virtue of patience that this man holds is just unbelievable. There are girls asking for bindis, some ladies asking for bangles, some others earrings and though once catered are not satisfied with the colour, design or size. Sometimes price is the culprit. The poor fellow brings in his marketing techniques and with tons of patience explains, suggests, guides, helps, shows options and continues unmatched efforts till he succeeds. Sometimes his efforts yield only a sale of 15-20 rupees but he is happy as his efforts are fruitful.
A pair of bangle or a set of artificial earrings or a pair of hairbands would be the meager purchases of most customers but what counts here is not the bill amount but the satisfaction of his customers. A guarantee they would return soon.
People search for joy, patience, positivity in exclusive places while I found it in a humble bangle store.
Enjoy your life. Live up the small things.

SRN
